Job Description

Roles & Responsibility:

Provide Database Administration support for very large databases in a Teradata environment. The ideal candidate will have a very well rounded understanding of the complete Teradata environment.

 

Job will include the following types of tasks

• Design, creation, and maintenance of database objects
• Physical database design
• Development of proactive processes for monitoring capacity and performance
• Perform system level and application level tuning
• Support application teams related to database application development
• Knowledgeble in UNIX shell scripting
• Adhere to Organization's standards & best practices

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in a technical discipline recommended
• Excellent communication, organizational, and personal skills
• Works well in a team environment
• Database performance tuning knowledge and skills
