Job Description:

 

 

·         6 Plus years of experience with Leadership, Customer/Business interfacing, drive offshore team.

·         Support of production database services to ensure the highest standards of availability, resilience, integrity, security and performance required by our business systems.

·         20% Administration with 80% PL/SQL work.

·         Design, development and administration of Oracle databases.

·         Performance monitoring, reporting, and tuning of Oracle databases.

·         Knowledge on back-ups & recovery procedures.

·         Installation and maintenance of database server, replication and client environments.

·         Reviewing and tuning SQL and PL/SQL code.

·         Designing database packages and procedures.

·         Security and access control

·         Provision of support and assistance to development team in the design, development, testing, tuning and implementation of database applications

·         Creation and maintenance of SQL queries and routines

·         Provisioning of (database) development and testing environments.

·         Writing ad-hoc queries based on schema knowledge for various reporting requirements. Writing / Tuning data ingestion procedures from external suppliers and partners using PL/SQL, sql loader, 3rd party tools eg. Toad etc.

·         Required to deal with complex data models and object relational database mapping, while producing complex reports

·         This job requires excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Due to the dynamic nature of the business, self-motivation and the ability to learn quickly are essential.

• Understands business and technical scope and objectives of all Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence projects.
• Confers with Core Staff and other Project Managers to understand work plan and to accept duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
• Adheres to Client standards and procedures for project planning and documentation.
• Provide technical solutions to the business and project staff, solving complex business and data problems.
• Partner with Business users, SME's  to understand business goals and information needs; then drives the technical design  and authors design specifications and models.
• Work with Data Integration team to update logical / physical models for Trusted Information Platform project using ERWIN modeling tool.
• Act as Sr. Data Solutions Architect and ETL Infrastructure Developer for Data Warehouse reengineering project by designing documents, providing SQL code, Views, database schemas, etc…
• Work across application teams on sourcing data into the Data Warehouse and publishing data to downstream target systems.
• Drive to completion a project to build multi layered (front end / middle tier / backend) ETL application using IBM's InfoSphere (DataStage).  
• Work on Metadata content using IBM Metadata Workbench toolset
• Build entity relationship diagrams, conceptual, logical and physical star schema and aggregate models.
• Work across the data warehouse (ADW) physical layers to identify areas of data/table consolidation and sql reusability
