Job Description:
Certifying operating system builds with different hardwares / environments (Manual / Automation testing)
Verifying different devices / networks functionality with a given OS build
Certification via. client’s proprietary tools using automated test scripts and manual testing
Execution of functional test cases and capturing the output (to be executed are both automated and manual)
Analyze and review performance-testing framework to increase operating efficiency & coverage.
Developing Test plans for new features that are incorporated into OS and provide complete coverage to ensure shipping of bug free releases.
Automation using client defined frameworks (Java / Python / Unix / Shell Scripts..etc)
Review, evaluate existing testing code, processes and optimize them to reduce the efforts.
Preparing Test Plans / Test scenarios / Test Cases / Tracking Defects for different product features
Coordinating with
Skill-set Required:
Good Understanding of Operating System Internals & Networking Protocols
Good Unix / Python / Shell Scripting (OS level coding skills)
Awareness on operating system functionalities.
Excellent Testing Knowledge
Good Programming Language exp. or Development exposure (Preferably Java)
Ability to write test clients to test the OS functionalities in the language like C++ / Java, Python and Shell Scripting.
Executing the test cases using proprietary tools/frameworks provided by client.
Very Good communication
Pro-activeness while interacting with Dev team on different issues.
Documenting test cases, test scenarios, test plans, product knowledge documents.
Ability to quickly understand / learn new things (Client designed internal tools / frameworks etc)
