Position: IT Architect – Middleware

Location: Glendale, CA

Duration: Long Term

 

Specific skills required:

 

- 8+ years experience in solution architecture processes and best practices in a large enterprise environment.
- 10+ years experience architecting Internet application infrastructures in a Sun Solaris, and AIX environments

- 5+ years experience architecting WebSphere Application Server infrastructures.

- 2+ years experience in networking infrastructure architecture is a plus

- Excellent presentation skills

- Demonstrated written communication skills (requirements and specifications, analysis reports, etc.)

- Strong command of the English language, able to articulate complex ideas in succinct, business terms without the use of technical jargon

 

Qualifications:

 

- Experience in designing cost effective infrastructure solutions to meet current and future business, performance and operational requirements. - Experience working in an outsourced environment is a plus.

- IBM WebSphere Application Server Certification is required

- Experience implementing a proven Architecture Framework (TOGAF, DODAF, etc.)

- Strong technical expertise in the following platforms and systems:

• WebSphere
• JBOSS
• Tomcat
• Solaris
• AIX

- Must demonstrate not only the ability to design/architect solutions, but the ability to see these solutions through development and implementation.
