Information Architect whose primary responsibilities, will include but will not be limited to, working closely with both Technical and Business Partners in terms of defining and managing optimal data, application and platform development, as well as compliance needs to support organizational objectives. This role will also be responsible implementing a strategic transition to data replication between Smart Data GDR and G2 databases to replace current use of batch file transfer programs. 

 

This role is required to become a Subject Matter Expert across the Oracle DB platforms supporting the GDR & G2  applications, knowledgeable on best practices of data warehouse and ETL functions.   This role must be able to communicate across multiple teams/organizations both internal to, and external from Value Added Services.

Specifically, this position would be required to:

·  Assess new and enhanced technical requirements and determine their impact on existing processes; determine the level of effort to implement changes and additions and work with Business Leaders in the development teams managing the impacted applications.

·  Serve as onsite coordinator between STL-based GDR development team and the Satyam offshore development team.   Coordinate with offshore resources to provide timely and accurate status reporting and ensure quality objectives are met.

·  Develop detailed data architecture roadmap for GDR.   Analyze current state of data / application assets and formulate an appropriate technical recommendation that meets both architectural and end user requirements; assess mapping and transformation specifications for completeness and accuracy and partner with other teams to be sure they are actionable

·  Take an active role in the cross-functional design and be an advocate for Value Added Services throughout MC Technologies, by fostering strong relationships with Enterprise Architecture, Unix Technical Services, Internet Engineering, Central Site Engineering, Database Administration, Enterprise Storage, Information Security, etc.

·  Lead the design and implementation of strategic data replication initiatives for GDR & G2, contributing to and overseeing where appropriate, low-level design and design phase deliverables to ensure that the design conforms to the overall platform architecture and strategy

·   Ensure solutions and deliverables are compliant with Data Privacy, Data Usage, and variable Audit requirements.
