Sr. BO Developer

Work location: Middletown, NJ

 

 

• Minimum 5+ years development experience Expert technical knowledge, with hands-on experience in program development in Business Objects 3.1 and 4.0.
• Expert skills in verbal and written communications, with the ability to express highly complicated technical concepts in business terms.
• Expert analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work well on cross-functional project teams.
• Must be able to demonstrate the ability to be productive with minimal supervision
• Experience with Business Intelligence/Analysis and maintaining Business Objects Universes
• Provide data analysis and identify data related issues within the Data Warehouse environment as well as upstream systems
• Strong experience with projects involving complex security requirements
• Familiar with relational databases Experience in defining database index optimization strategies and tuning
• SQL Work with product development, architects and developers to review new DB related features, schema design, object structure, data flow, and SQL statements
• Strong knowledge in creating stored procedures and have a solid understanding of joins, and indexing
• Experience deploying best practices for BO Administration, Security, and Design
• Fundamental understanding of development best practices and processes.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills, oral and written with the ability to communicate across all levels of the business including formal and informal presentations and workshops.
• Ability to accurately estimate level of effort and provide development estimates.
• Ability to develop and manage to work plans.
• Previous participation in the creation of BI development standards.
• Excellent performance skills in tuning data warehouse objects and BI landscape
