Position: Test Automation Engineer
Location: RTP, NC
Duration: 12 Months +
REQUIRED SKILLS: Storage, Protocols: CIFS / NFS, Perl Scripting.
To develop and deliver codes for the work assigned in accordance with time, quality and cost standards.
Desired Profile:
1. Experience on Windows Server 2003/2008 and Clustering
2. Good understanding of protocols like CIFS/NFS, FCP, iSCSI
3. Proven ability in the following – developing test cases and manual testing. If the candidate has done systemic testing (user scenarios), that would be a plus
4. Script development using OO Perl and any automation framework
5. Familiarity with advanced concepts of computer architecture, data structures and standard programming practices
6. Knowledge/Experience on Storage (SAN, NAS, DAS) and concepts like Snapshots, Multi-pathing, etc. Having experience with NetApp Storage is a big plus
7. Good attitude. Should be willing to work on newer technologies
8. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential
Responsibility:
The individual would be responsible for the following:
? Understanding the requirements and formulating Test Cases
? Setting up lab and configuring test beds
? Contributing to creating and developing test automation strategies
? Test automation using Perl and debugging issues with code
? Participate in reviews of code developed by other engineers and make recommendations to improve the quality of the product/code
? Play the role of the onsite co-ordinator for the project and also be involved in developing automated scripts
Education & Experience:
• 2 to 6 years of experience in IT
• Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Engineering
• Demonstrated ability to have successfully completed multiple, moderately complex technical tasks.
