Role: Lead Silicon Validation Engineer

 

Location: Mountain View, CA

Duration: 6+ Months

 

 Job Description:

The work responsibility will be technical leadership & drive of mixed signal ASIC validation and characterization.

• Drive the development & implementation of a comprehensive PVT silicon validation test plan which will include directed functional tests, stress testing, performance validation, timing validation of chip interfaces & characterization of IP.
• Work with design team to ensure that functionality needed for validation and characterization is incorporated.
• Drive validation & characterization automation strategy and implementation.
• Support the PE team during ATE program development, component qualification and other activities to get the chip ready for production.
• Work with design team, system and product engineers to create and track validation and characterization plans schedules and resource/equipment plans.
• Provide mentoring to more junior team members to ensure best practices are followed throughout validation and characterization.
• Ensure company best processes are followed for chip validation and characterization

 

Minimum Requirements:

• BS/MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field with 12+ years of experience
• Proven track record of successful validation and characterization of complex mixed signal ASICs
• In depth experience of validation & characterization test plan development and tracking, providing rolled-up progress reports to program managers
• Demonstrated chip validation & characterization automation experience
• Track record of team technical leadership & individual technical contribution on complex mixed-signal ASIC validation projects, delivering successfully on challenging projects.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with more junior team members to raise their skill level through mentoring & project experience.

 

Additional Desired Experience or Skills:

• Image sensor validation/characterization experience
• Use of MATLAB for instrument control and test automation
