Opportunity

For a major financial service client, we are leading development of an enterprise solution for data protection as data is moved from production to non-production environment(s) to facilitate development and testing and to comply with regulatory requirements. As a first phase of the solution development, we plan to execute a focused POC to validate data masking and data subsetting tool (Informatica). This POC is targeted to validate data masking tool (Informatica ILM / Power Center), data subsetting tool (Informatica ILM), and to ensure that use cases like referential integrity are maintained in the masked data and the performance requirements are met.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

• Establish a clear understanding of the business objectives and establish the vision for achieving those objectives in the technical solution.
• Translate business objectives into a technical architecture that can support business requirements including the masking and sub setting.
• Define the proper configuration and design of the Metadata environment
• Develop Metadata data model
• Work with the various technologies to capture the various metadata contained in each one
• Develop and enter metadata scanners
• Understand the high level business and application level needs for data masking
• Review current application/business requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solution.
• Profile data and produce logical data grouping for masking the data
• Develop architecture specifications and system design specifications for the masking engagement.
• Write customized SQL queries to perform data level checks pre & post masking
• Work with the development team to verify functional and unit test case written for various data masking scenarios
• Ensure defects are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner. QC exposure would be an advantage
• Work with client personnel to identify required changes and perform matured level of change management Communicate needed changes to development team and the business users.
• Responsible for managing deliverables quality
• Responsible for collaborating with the project team members to produce weekly status report, and weekly project log consisting of issues, risks, action items, and progress against planned activities for a given week.
• Co-ordinate daily planning & status check-in meeting with the Capgemini resources, where project activities, issues, risks and challenges will be reviewed

 

Experience Required:

• 5+ years of ETL architecture development, design and development experience in capital markets is required
• Experience working with Data Architecture and Application teams to define data privacy fields and data masking requirements.
• Experience working with data masking tools
• Understand database models & designs including referential integrity, application enforced integrity, data dependencies between applications.
• Ability to understand Entity Relationship diagrams for relational databases.
• Experience working with relational DBMS,'(tm)s like DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase, DB2
• Able to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing to business and technology stakeholders
• Ability to multitask and work effective with little supervision; ability to co-ordinate onsite and offsite resources deliverables/activities; Ability to work with client and manage their expectations & priorities
• Bachelors degree or equivalent in Business Management, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
