Hello Folks,

 

Role: Jr.SQL DBA
Location: Atlanta, GA
Duration: 5-6 month contract

 

Rate: $42/hr on C2C

 

Database administration position involving management of multiple SQL databases in a highly dynamic environment. Work as part of a team in support of operational and project related activities. Provide technical and operational support to other departments and teams as required in support of business objectives.
Display strong inter-personal and communication skills.
• Provide 24 x 7 on call support as part of a scheduled rotation with other team members.
• Provide troubleshooting for applications and systems.
• Provide technical support for database related project activities.
• Perform installs and upgrades of rdbms and associated software including third party tools.

 

• Competence with most SQL utilities such as BCP, DTS, etc
• Competence with basic database administration activities such as backup, recovery, etc.
• Competence with T-SQL and knowledge of stored procedures, UDFs and triggers.
• Competence with various monitoring and tuning tools such as Profiler, Precise, Spotlight.
• Competence with shell scripting (i.e. command line applications, batch files, etc.)

 

• 2-4 years experience in a SQL environment.
• Solid experience with Windows operating system.
* Experience with 3rd party monitoring tools like Quest Fogligh, PA and Confio Ignite and implementation
* MS-SQL Cluster and Replication , SQL 2008 and 2012

 

A degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
