NOTE : Hedge Fund Experience needed.

 

Manhattan based global hedge fund is seeking a Business Analyst with a combination of technical aptitude, business acumen, and strong communication skills to join software development team. The business analyst will resolve business and usability issues, drive end-user adoption, and facilitate communication within the internal teams.

 

 

Job Description:

• Conduct analysis and design of client needs across functional areas in order to develop functional requirements, clearly stating project scope
• Act as information conduit between business units and development team
• Provide Quality Assurance testing
• Document current and future business process flows.
• Recommend changes in development, maintenance and standards
• Train client personnel in the use of the system
• Manage change communication and coordinate end-user training for system implementations

 

Required Skills:

• Knowledge of hedge fund trading operations / accounting
• Familiarity with financial markets operations
• Knowledge of QA process, and exposure to defect tracking or change management software packages
• Excellent troubleshooting, analysis, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to effectively prioritize and escalate issues as required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Detailed, organized, and results-oriented
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at once

 

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of accounting (AR/AP, general ledger, budgeting, etc)

• Experience with at least one of the following accounting packages: Advent Geneva, Advent Partner, Advent Axys, Sungard VPM, Sungard Investier
• Experience with at least one of the following Order Management Systems: Eze Castle Trader’s Console, Charles River IMS, ITG Macgregor XIP

• Excel/VBA

 

This is a customer facing role,consultant must enjoy interfacing with clients as well as the development staff.
