Title: VMware Engineer

Location: Renton,WA

Duration: Long  term

Rate: DOE

 

Required Skills:

·         Manage and Administer the VMware Virtual Infrastructure Environment.

·         VMware ESX OS Installation / Configuration, VMware ESX OS upgrade and VMware ESX OS recovery

·         Identify applicable firmware levels; apply Firmware upgrades in line with manufacturers' guidelines and VMware support recommendations as part of preventative maintenance.

·         Identify and Apply System Software patches, maintain up-to-date system hardware, software and configuration documentation.

·         Create, modify, and destroy virtual machines, virtual disks, virtual network switches, virtual machine templates.

·         Maintain and support Windows operating systems inside virtual machines/ virtual machine templates.

·         Perform Physical to Virtual machine migrations.

·         Perform VMotion Migrations.

·         Create, modify, and destroy VMFS file systems.

·         Support VMware High Availability.

·         Support VMware Distributed Resource Scheduler.
