Position : Sr. Oracle EBS (Application) DBA with good RAC
Location : Atlanta, GA
Duration : Long Term
Description:
• Participate and work with IT Architecture team in design extension of complex applications database infrastructure (e.g. on functional design/ design review of Oracle Applications data conversions, interfaces, custom reporting, and custom applications and their dependencies on infrastructure)
• End to End high availability, performance and capacity planning in conjunction with business and other IT teams
• Oracle Databases, EBS, SQL Databases Transformation to cloud infrastructure
• Strong Knowledge in Oracle EBusiness Suite, Core Database Migration, MS SQL Databases preferably from DC to DC.
• Strong experience in Upgrading Oracle EBusiness Suite environments
• Strong experience in High Availability and DR solutions for Oracle ERP and Database, Monitoring using OEM 12C, Backup Administration and procedures to define policies
• Candidate should have strong implementation and support experience in R12 and Fusion Technologies.
• Strong exposure in driving end to end process performance through continuous improvements
• Strong knowledge on best practices to implement standards, processes, and procedures
• Strong presentation/ communication / facilitation skills (oral and written)
• Strong experience in Oracle EBusiness suite and Core Database maintenance and administration
• Take operations transition for Oracle Database, MS SQL, and Oracle EBS - pass it to offshore team.
• Co-ordination with offshore team for the tasks execution
• Provide 24 X 7 Production Oracle database support, administration and on call support on Oracle ERP applications from 11.0.3 to R12
• Extreme knowledge on Oracle RAC environments & Applying application/database Patches.
• Past experience on any database upgrade from 8i, 9i, 10g to 11g
• Basic administration knowledge on MS SQL databases.
• Revisit or Create and Implement Backup & Recovery procedures and policies
• Handle RAC databases and understand the working of them in performing the day-to-day DBA activities such as co-ordination with onsite/off-shore model
• Managing user profiles, CPU utilization and space management as per the requirements.
• Coordinate with Oracle support for troubleshooting on P1 issues.
• Able to Clone an instance from production to Test, Development instance to test etc.
• Get in touch with the Client management team for business plans.
• Participate on weekly calls & looking for positive approach person.
