Position           : Cognos Developer/Analyst With SQL

Location           : Cary, NC

Description:

Provide application maintenance support including corrective action to fix errors for both code and documentation, and respond to requests for additional modifications. Production Systems' Monitoring and Maintenance

 

·         Cognos Skills (Query Studio, Report Studio, Framework Manager, and Analysis Studio

·         Database Skills (should be able to write medium to complex SQL queries, procedures, Views, and other database objects in SQL Server, Oracle, and Teradata

·         Working knowledge of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)

·         Working knowledge of Visual Basic, C# and .Net programming

 

Role Responsibility:

 

·         Programmer Analyst / Developer       

·         Creates software documentation.

·         Follows the existing user and developer standards.

·         Applies appropriate and standard tools and techniques to develop the application deliverables.

·         Develop to approved physical platforms, databases and interface platforms.

·         Provides detailed estimates for the accomplishment of deliverables assigned.

·         Adheres to the processes and procedures that the project uses, e.g., peer review, deliverable-based estimates.

·         Authority to recommend technical solutions to the Technical Architect.

·         Accountable to the Project Manager to work assigned deliverables, being mindful of schedule and budget.

·         Provides accurate and complete status on assigned deliverables.

·         Raises issues/roadblocks that need management attention as early as possible.

·         Accountable to Technical Architect, adhering to standards and architectural direction provided and ensures quality of assigned deliverables.
