Primary Skills:

• Data Modeling Data Quality, Stewardship, Data governance 
• Senior Data modeler (5-7+ years experience) with some good data architecture background.
• Good Data warehousing concepts.
• Working in financial industry a plus.
• Data modeling tools = PowerDesigner, Erwin. We use the former here at TDA.
• Databases knowledge Any of Oracle, SQL Server, DB2
• Data warehouse appliances Any of Netezza, Teradata etc (We use the former here at TDA)
• ETL knowledge is a plus (Informatica, etc)
• Operating system = Unix, Windows, shell scripting a  plus
• Good Data Quality, Stewardship, Data governance concepts
• Knowledge on MDM concepts a plus
• Excellent team player
• Ability to work in a fast pace environment

Position            : Teradata Developer

Duration           : 6+ months
Location           : Irwindale, CA

 

Onsite senior Teradata developer with very good hands-on experience on core Teradata, fair understanding of ETL using DataStage.

 

Teradata Database V13

• Creation and maintenance of stored procedures as well as table, view
• Develop/Enhance Data Load scripts and Unload scripts using utilities such as fast load, Multi load and BTEQ
• Develop/Enhance/Debug complex Teradata SQL
• Hands-on experience developing and implementing database performance measures (i.e. table partitioning, indexing, etc).at database and scripts level).
• Previous experience with CDC and Datastage. Development experience with these tools is not required. However, a clear understanding and working knowledge is preferred.

 

Ramp Up: Must be able to come up to speed on business/process knowledge via KT sessions from various members of Project and Maintenance teams.

Communication skills - Should have clear communication, with good English fluency Good documentation skills
