This is Upender working with Systel Inc, My mail is regarding a job opportunity with one of our client @ Milwaukee, WI  for a 12  months contract. Below is the job description please go through it and let me know any consultants available with you.

 

Position: Solaris/Linux server builds Resources

Location: Milwaukee, WI

Duration: 12 Months

No of Positions: 5

 

The candidate will be required to perform these duties:

 

-          7+ years' experience working with Solaris 10 and Solaris 11

-          Build experience is a must

-          Provision Solaris physical and virtual (non-global zones, LDOMs and virtual machines) through automated mechanisms.  Ability to provision systems with manual mechanisms will also be required on occasion

-          Work with application teams to understand application requirements and translate into design documentation. 

-          Understand server workload management to know when systems have capacity for additional workload.

 

Optional Requirements:

 

-                      Understanding of clustering concepts.

-                      Storage Foundation, Storage Foundation HA, Storage Foundation for Oracle RAC (aka Veritas Cluster server, Veritas Volume Manager, Veritas Filesystem)

-                      Red Hat Linux 5.X and 6.X, Oracle Linux 5.X and 6.X

-                      Oracle RAC configuration

-                      Oracle Ops Center

-                      Ability to work with application teams to migrate older Solaris platforms to newer hardware and operating system technologies with little assistance from application team

-                      Solaris 10 and/or Solaris 11 Certification

-                      Six Sigma Green Belt Certification

-                      Previous experience in a regulated industry like Healthcare, Banking, Government, etc.
