Position : Oracle and Informatica MDM Project Manager
Location : Houston, TX
Duration : 6 Months/Fulltime
Description:
· Work with IT and business process leads to assess requirements and designs (functional and technical) for all MDM initiatives. Responsible for project and resource planning, plus detailed effort estimates for development and implementation of projects.
· Responsible for delivery of data management IT projects across data domains (e.g. products, Legal Entities, Locations, Organization Hierarchy, customer, vendor, etc.), ensuring solutions are performing, secure, and sustainable.
· Act as a data governance ambassador collaborating with the business and other IT to ensure data quality management gets well-established and matures going forward.
· Participate in enterprise technical governance and quality assurance reviews of development work (design, configuration & coding) to ensure standards are met.
· Ensure agreed PDM/PDLC methodology followed for all the MDM projects and promote Agile approach using Scrum or equivalent rapid delivery methods where appropriate.
· Provide assistance in addressing incidents and some end-user requests (primarily level 3), analyzing and responding with solutions or appropriate action.
· Coaching and directing staff in all project activities and escalated operational issue resolution.
qualifications/requirements
· Bachelor Degree in Information Technology or equivalent. 10+ years' experience including 5+ years of supervisory experience (preferably in data management and/or BI).
· Experience with Informatica or Oracle (including Hyperion DRM) EIM/MDM plus good working knowledge of integration challenges with Oracle or hosted application sources and targets.
· Knowledge of data warehousing principles and experience with highly preferred.
· Extensive knowledge of data management, database design and system management a must.
· Must have strong software development methodology experience with both Agile and Waterfall (Scrum Master highly desirable), plus associated tools.
· Hands on experience with managing and implementing data quality tools in a complex enterprise system landscape, while introducing data management best practices.
· Strong project management skills, communication skills (written and oral) and people skills, with the ability to build and improve relationships across teams.
· Experience managing global, virtual delivery teams.
