Job Description:
Current Pension System was developed on PeopleSoft 8.0, PeopleTools 8.22 and as per the Pension Plan requirements during that time. As part Client PeopleSoft Reimplementation we are planning to build new system using PeopleSoft 9.1, PeopleTools 8.52 and will automate several manual processes.
General Accountability:
· Be a self-starter and capable of working independently to high standards of quality. When given a task, it is expected this person to be able to determine the best way to deliver the result
· Finds the appropriate tools to implement the project. The position requires the ability to understand the functioning of the Client software applications and the client applications scope for the New Pension System Project, and the ability to respond effectively to application manager's requests and needs.
· Take technical specs and produce completed and well tested programs which meet user satisfaction and acceptance and precisely reflect the requirements.
· Take functional specs and come up with high quality technical specs.
· Use collaborative skills to work with project managers, task force members, database administrators, system administrators, users and other staff
· Adhere to project schedules and report progress regularly
· Need to understand and be familiar/comfortable with Pension business and Pension related terms in general
· Ensure that Bank policies, procedures and standards are factored into project design and development.
· Conduct Peer Review on Code and Test Cases prepared by other team members, to assess quality and compliance with coding standards.
· Prepare weekly status reports and participate in status meetings - highlighting issues and constraints that would impact timely delivery of work program items.
· Communicate proactively with other team members and team lead.
· Participate in the estimation of work plans, test plans and implementation plans.
Skill Set requirements/Selection Criteria :
· Masters degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in building PeopleSoft systems using PeopleSoft and Database technologies, preferably work experience in PeopleSoft Self-service Module
· Excellent knowledge of PeopleSoft Application Designer, PeopleTools 8.52, Peoplecode, Application Engine, iScript and overall excellent technical skills on the PeopleSoft 9.1 Development platform
· Expertise in Reporting Tools like PS Query, SQR and BI Publisher
· Knowledge of HTML and JavaScript coding and concepts to integrate with PeopleSoft objects would be desirable.
· PeopleSoft Workflow knowledge expected and working knowledge would be desirable
· Expertise in SQL, PL/SQL and Oracle 11g platform.
· Ability to work in high pressure situations and tight schedules, quickly producing excellent solutions and solving problems, production issues
· Sufficient knowledge and working experience with rule based systems.
· Global Payroll knowledge desirable
· Ability and willingness to propose creative and optimal solutions.
· Ability to work in a multicultural environment, and have excellent process, functional, communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills, and willingness to work in a team environment to support other technical staff as needed. The person should have high tolerance for ambiguity.
· Proven conceptual, analytical and judgmental skills.
· Proven and demonstrated experience in full system development life cycle – Analysis, Design, Programming, Testing, Implementation, and Maintenance.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Ability to pick up new business processes and technologies quickly.
· Sound understanding of and implementation experience with issue tracking, and source code repository.
· Excellent interpersonal skills and willingness to work in a team environment to support other technical staff as needed.
