Position: Microsoft Dynamics AX Consultant
Location: Redmond, WA
Duration: 12 Months
 
This position requires scripting skills in VB Script and X++, with experience in PowerShell 2.0 being a plus. The candidate must have strong troubleshooting skills and experience supporting large AX deployments.
Customer Issue Resolution & Responsiveness
 
-    Candidates must have an understanding of IT environment, and have demonstrated skills designing and developing technology in area(s) of specialization to solve business problems.
-    Strong knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle methodology.
-    Lead & manage multiple projects.
-    Ability to understand and analyse issues and uses judgment to make decisions.
-    Define and understand the customer issue by creating the adequate reproduction scenarios.
-    Research, troubleshoot, develop and implement a workaround (if needed) and gain agreement from customer on problem resolving.
-    Act as the Third tier support to take the escalation and solve the customer issue.
-    Working on multiple initiatives.
-    Drive the implementation of continuous improvement activities including new support tools and automation.
-    Responsible for maintaining the highest levels of systems availability, data delivery and availability, and customer satisfaction for all assigned systems.
-    Strong problem solving & troubleshooting skills.
-    Responsible for end user satisfaction with complete accountability of meeting the defined Service Level Agreements.
-    Strong analysis and customer service skills with sound problem solving, judgment and decision-making skills
Effective Communication & Collaboration
-    Drive the communication with the customer to ensure the customer has confidence on problem resolution provided by Microsoft.
-    Collaborate with cross-group peers both proactively and reactively.
-    Produce quality documentation and share with the appropriate team members and tech lead as appropriate.
-    Communication w/ customer to ensure proper understanding of their situation and their desired resolution in order to assure appropriate response.
-    Collaborate with project team and develop IPs.
Operational Precision
-    Adhere to published queue or call back schedule and be available for on-call duty, as necessary.
-    Use appropriate documentation and utilization tracking methods to account for time.
-    Manage and prioritize your workload while keeping team members and management appropriately informed.
-    Ability to read, interpret and/or develop Technical specifications, diagrams and database schema.
-    Participate in and contribute to Release activities including Spec reviews
-    Understand and contribute to effective Monitoring of the critical components of the System.
-    Ongoing status updates to customer to ensure they are aware of progress made throughout the resolution process.
-    Prioritize incoming service requests to ensure issues are handled in the appropriate timeframes.
 
Areas of Expertise
 
Dynamics Axapta:
-    Object Oriented Programming and Design experience
-    Axapta Configuration skills
-    Axapta Installation and performance troubleshooting skills
-    Axapta Enterprise Portal Development and Maintenance Experience
-    MorphX development Suite
-    X++ development and maintenance Experience
-    Four or more years of ERP development experience
-    Programming in C# - Experience in developing and sustaining the applications in ASP .NET
 
Desirable Skills :
 
•    .NET Tools and Technologies - experience of leveraging the same and designing, architecting, implementing and deploying Line of Business Applications.
•    Databases: Candidates must have Database skills for SQL Server Development, 64 bit implementations and Performance Tuning.
•    Must have Graduation Degree
•    Highly proficient & solid Customer facing Project experience involving technical consulting, solution support / sustenance, project envisioning, planning, development and deployment in one of the areas mentioned in Section II.
•    Must have a proven record of delivering technical solutions and sustenance support.
•    Must have 8+ years of related technology experience
•    MCSE/MCP/MCTS/MCITP/PMP Certified in at least one of the Microsoft Technologies is an added advantage.
•    MOF/ITIL certification is an added advantage.
