Position: PeopleSoft Technical Consultant (ePerformance)

Location: Washington DC

Duration: 6-9 Months

 

Job Description:        

 

Scope of the Work

The contractors will be the main point of contact in the ePerformance development team and will be responsible for application development, testing and migration of the objects in ePerformance from Development to Test to Production.

 

The work will include all aspects of the software development life cycle, including analysis of issues, elicitation of business requirements, high level and low level design, peer reviews, development of code and development of corrections to code to address defects, assembling test plans, executing tests, and creating/updating system documentation.

 

The platforms are PeopleSoft 9.x ePerformance /PeopleTools 8.51 or higher, and Oracle 11g.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

                  Support ePerformance code/object migration.   This support includes design, development, and deployment of enhancements and bug fixes.

                  Prepare the required CMM documentation, when applicable (Impact Analysis and Design, Test Cases etc.)

                  Follow procedures and standards recommended by the Client in system development.

                  Write code to implement solutions, in whatever selected means: PeopleCode, SQR, SQL, Oracle Triggers/Procedures, etc.

                  Prepare weekly status reports highlighting issues and constraints that would impact timely delivery of work program items.

                  Communicate proactively with other team members and team leads.

                  Produce estimation of work plans, test plans and implementation plans.

                  Interact with clients to gather and specify requirement.

 

Qualifications and Experience

 

                  Years of experience: 5-8 yrs of software development experience

                  Solid work experience and understanding of ePerformance at the technical level.  Functional expertise a plus.  Must understand the technical dependencies on other modules.

                  Excellent knowledge of PeopleCode, Application Engine, CI, SQRs, PeopleSoft Workflow, Oracle PL/SQL.  Java Programming skills a plus.

                  Effective teamwork and excellent interpersonal and communication skills, in a multi-cultural environment.

                  Ability to debug errors quickly and recommend sound solutions.

                  Ability to do disciplined and detailed work.

                  Conceptual, analytical and innovative problem-solving ability

                  Detail oriented; someone whom we can rely on to develop and test the application from end to end.

                  Excellent interpersonal skills and willingness to work in a team environment to support other technical staff as needed.   

                  Strong verbal and written communication skills

                  Prior experience in the bank is preferred.

                  Education: Minimum B.S. in Information systems or related subjects (M.S. Preferable)
