Position: Disaster Recovery Infra Project Manager
Location: Sunnyvale, CA
Duration: 6+ Months
Description :
• Baseline PM:
• Project Management for DR Projects, Initiatives and IT Maintenance.
• Coordinate functional groups' responsibilities and deliverables with respect to process and system initiatives.
• Define and gain approval for business requirements, process modeling deliverables, project plans and charters.
• Determine project cost and project timing based on scope and complexity of the project.
• Track, develop and create release calendar for project implementation.
• Track each project schedule and create a project plan with input from the cross-functional team.
• Schedule, attend and record meetings notes.
• Update website with all information related to the project status.
• Develop and create corporate communications plans to affected customers and stakeholders.
• Manage projects in compliance with the NetApp Project Development Lifecycle and associated deliverables to ensure the integrity and quality of project artifacts.
• Work with developers to translate requirements into technical specifications.
• Able to juggle conflicting/changing priorities and maintain a positive attitude in the face of extremely challenging and fast paced deliverables.
• Meet aggressive delivery timelines, coordinate well with remote teams, have the flexibility of working the time differences, and proactively solve problems.
• Manage multiple requests while managing issues and mitigating risks
• Communicate fluently and effectively with all level of business users, technical teams, and management across the organization.
Required Skiklls :
• A minimum of 7 years relevant work experience to strongly demonstrate the skills and knowledge listed above.
• Experience working with Change Management team and PMO organizations and governance
• PMP or other Project Management certifications
• A minimum of 4 years DR (disaster recovery) and Infrastructure PM experience
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment to meet aggressive goals and pre-defined measurement criteria
• Ability to conduct user workshops, define requirements, estimate, assess and plan projects; write use and business cases; and design workflow processes.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle, IT Service operations, business process realignment and the financial and political elements of an IT organization.
• Working knowledge of all areas of the organization and the ability to develop a clear understanding of the company's key functional processes and resources
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of current disaster recovery planning techniques
