We have an immediate requirement for AIX Administrator required at East Providence, Rhode Island for Long term contract with our direct client. Let me know if you have any profiles for this position. Please reply with copy of resume & contact Information

 

Title: AIX Administrator

Location: East Providence, Rhode Island

Duration: Long Term

Rate: DOE

 

Required Skills:

·         IBM AIX administrator, preferably one who has experience with EMC SAN storage arrays and zoning/lun masking

·         Daily maintenance of two IBM P-series server frames (IBM P7)

·         Requires extensive knowledge of IBM AIX pSeries systems

·         Support the approximately 100 virtual host partitions within those two frames

·         Ability to allocate and manage CPU, Memory, IO on the server units

·         Ability to manage the AIX operating systems for all hosts on the two frames

·         Manage allocation of storage, growing of file systems, and disk management with LVM

·         Standard administration of those Unix systems (os, network, disk, io, etc)

·         IBM AIX server patching as required

·         Ability to analyze systems and troubleshoot problems

·         Monitor systems through use of standard IBM tools and GroundWorks toolset

·         Support both production and development systems
