Position: Oracle Architect

Location: Sunnyvale, CA

Duration: 6-12 Months+

 

Required Skills:

 

·         10+ years experience developing relational database solutions using Oracle Proven experience designing and implementing scalable OLTP and DSS database systems

·         Solid understanding of Oracle-specific architecture and scalability features

·         Experience with Oracle 10g and RAC Expert in database programming (PL/SQL, triggers, and stored procedures)

·         Experience with database design tools such as ER/Win or ER/Studio BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline is required Strong analytical skills including the ability to transform complex business requirements into a successful system design.

·         Demonstrated ability to support analysis and decisions with data Experience using Oracle's wait interface to assess and address performance issues

·         Excellent communication skills, which include active listening and the ability to present complex ideas in concise written and verbal descriptions which are easily understood by both technical and non-technical audiences

·         An aggressive problem solver who can provide creative solutions to complex situations and obtain "buy-in" from those affected.

·         An independent worker who can take the initiative to define and prioritize specific goals and objectives

·         A team player that works hard, admits his/her strengths and weaknesses, and has the flexibility to improve by learning new things Data warehousing experience preferred Experience with Oracle replication, streams, and partitioning a plus
