This is Upender working with Systel Inc, My mail is regarding a job opportunity with one of our client @ Sunnyvale, CA  for a 6 months contract. Below is the job description please go through it and let me know any consultants available with you.

 

Position: ETL Tester with SAP HANA Exp

Location: Sunnyvale, CA

Duration: 6 Months

 

Roles & Responsibiliies:

 

•    At least 5 years commercial experience in testing large scale data warehouse, etl, data conversion and/or data migration testing

•    Acts as a lead in the creation, preparation, and conduct of quality assurance reviews and the development and execution of test plans and test scripts.

•    Is familiar with data creation and able to read and understand a data model, BRD, source to target mapping doc

•    Knowledge of software development life cycle principles including Agile practices (on- must;off-good to have)

•    Understanding of Unit, Functional, System, Performance, Technical and Operational testing and the tools utilized

•    Analyzes, tests, and certifies data and performs ambiguity reviews of business requirements and functional specification documents.

•    Uses advanced knowledge of applications to provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and resolving highly complex test problems.  Good to have.

•    Hi Tech Industry experience

•    Exposure to Oracle ERP

•    Logs, tracks, and verifies resolution of ETL code & specification defects.

•    Documents all phases of QA process.

•    Knowledge of key database concepts, data models, relationships between different types of data, multi-dimensional model.

•    Solid understanding of theories, principles, processes, practices, and tools, including data quality, data modeling. Good to Have

•    Works with client to establish and maintain a consistent test methodology and to resolve questions during the testing process. Good to Have

•    Must be able to translate the requirements or Business logic to the ETL design.

 

Basic Qualification:

 

•    Relevant 3-5 years offshore, 6-8 years onsite IT quality assurance and systems/application testing experience.

•    Excellent hands on SQL/PLSQLand shell scriptsskills.

•    Good understanding of data warehouse concept (multidimensional model)

•    Good understanding of SAP HANA concepts.

•    Good understanding of requirement and technical experience with Data warehousing / databases.

•    Demonstrated experience with Defect Tracking System (ie: ALM)

•    3+ years' experience of test plan  and scripts development

•    Able to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

 

Desired Qualification

 

•    Report testing experience using sql, pl/sql.

•    Experience using ETL and Business Intelligence tools such as Data Stage, OBIEE
