My consultant Arif is looking for the New Position for Unix/ Linux System administrator. He is open for relocation. Below is his short summary. Let me know if you have any positions for him.

 

 

• A UNIX System Administrator with more than Ten years of experience in System Administration, Engineering and Development of Information Systems.

·         Over 10 years of experience in System Administration and Production Support with extensive experience in Solaris, Red Hat Linux, and Windows Administration.

• Hands on experience in systems setup, configuration, upgrade, maintenance, performance monitoring and troubleshooting on different UNIX platforms like Sun Solaris, Linux, HP-UX, and Windows system software and hardware as well as networking.

·         Installation, configuration and administration of SUN Solaris 7, 8, 9 and 10 on Sun Servers using Jumpstart Servers and Interactive Installation and installation of Red Hat Linux 4.0 and  5.0.

·         Proficiency in installation and management of enterprise-level server hardware like E15K, E10K, E6800/6900, E4800, V890, V880, V490, V480, E420R running Solaris operating system.

·         Expertise in Patch and Package Administration, Performance Tuning on UNIX and Migration.

·         Creating and maintaining user accounts, profiles, permissions, security rights, disk space and process monitoring.

·         Efficiency in installing, configuring and implementing the RAID Technologies using various tools like VERITAS Volume Manager (VxVM 3.5/4.1/5.0) and Solaris Volume Manager (SVM)

·         Configured Networking Concepts DNS, NIS/ NIS+, NFS and DHCP, troubleshooting network problems such as TCP/IP, providing support for users in solving their problems.

·         Installation and configuration of Solaris Zones/ Containers and ability to work with ZFS/SMF/POOLS.

• Efficiently implemented network file sharing by configuring NFS to share files and resources across the network.
• Experience with Virtual Memory and swap space on Solaris systems.

·         Install and configuration of Web hosting administration TELNET, FTP, SSH, & RSH.
