Title: Cognos Administrator

Location: Orlando,FL

Rate: DOE

 

Must Have Skills:

• Should have 8-10 years of experience in Cognos Administration in Unix/AIX platform.
• Experience in Cognos migration 8.x, 10.x platforms (10.1.1.2), monitoring, large scale deployments, performance testing, scripts, framework manager and production support.
• Experience and understanding of the Cognos application (Query Studio, Report Studio, Analysis Studio, Framework Manager, and Data Manager).
• Administration: Ability to install, upgrade, configure, tune, and maintain all components in an enterprise-wide Cognos based BI 10.1.1.2 architecture.

This is to include the following components: Cognos Server, Cognos Connection Portal, Sequel Server.

• Development: Deep understanding of Cognos development to include: Data Manager, Framework Manager, Transformer, Report Studio, Analysis Studio, and Metric Studio.
• Experience maintaining a production system and working with end-users of the system.
• Experience with upgrading software applications and the ability to coordinate implementations with end-users from various areas.
• Basic knowledge of security technologies and the ability to apply user security for Business Intelligence application is preferred.
• Strong understanding of relational and star-schema database designs is preferred.
• Good communication skills and soft skills
• Experience in Onsite/Offshore environment
