Position : Salesforce Lead Developer
Location : Houston, TX
Duration : 6 Months
Basic Function:
Perform analysis, design, programming, testing, deployment, maintenance, and on-going enhancement and support of Force.com applications. Render expert-level functional and technical analysis and programming services in Client's multi-company, multi-national environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Design, develop, enhance, and maintain current and new Force.com applications.
· Provide detailed functional and technical analysis based on application design specifications provided by business analysts as well as interviews with end-users.
· Assist in problem resolution and troubleshooting, documenting problems and resolutions following department guidelines and procedures.
· Experience working with the various Force.com programming and design components including; Apex, Visualforce, Force.com IDE, Force.com Migration Tool, Web Services/SOAP & Metadata APIs, SOQL, Informatica
· Perform Salesforce.com configuration and administrative functions as required.
· Produce and iterate on software design documents
· Develop and perform unit testing of code components or entire applications
· Maintain a base of versioned code
· Collaborate with the development and consulting teams
· Participate in code review with members of the development team
· Participate in joint development efforts with the greater development team
· Mentoring and code reviews of junior developers assigned to the team
· Prefer Salesforce.com 401 or 501 Certification
· Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.
· Must have 5+ years of solid Force.com development experience using tools such as Apex, Visualforce, and SOQL. Experience with other Force.com components including security, service cloud, Heroku, and workflow is a plus.
· Strong web development skills including CSS, JavaScript, HTML, XML
· Strong experience with in the area of database design and custom objects, performance tuning, and stored procedures.
· Software development fundamentals such as: knowledge of data structures, object oriented programming, relational database design, and design patterns
· Ability to create technical design and specification documents from non-technical business requirements
· Keen attention to detail and complex problem-solving abilities from both operational and technical perspectives
· Self-starter with solid interpersonal skills, projecting a very positive, customer-service-oriented attitude.
· Must be a team player with solid verbal and written communication skills.
· Quality-oriented attention to detail a must – particularly in the areas of program testing, quality assurance, and systems documentation
