Python Developer

The primary responsibility will be writing Python code to collect and analyze data formatted in XML.

The candidate will work as a team member and will help design, implement and document enhancements for a symptom database for the EMC Isilon product.

 

Requirements:

  • 1+ years programing experience using Python skills on Unix/Linux platforms
  • A BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • Good knowledge in Bash and XML
  • Strong knowledge in Unix/Linux setup and maintenance.
  • Experience with product development, deployment and maintenance.
  • Good communicator and team player.
  • Good English skills
  • Attention to detail

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with GIT
  • Experience with Subversion
  • Experience with Eclipse
  • Experience with BugZilla
  • Experience with multi-threaded applications
  • Experience with Object-oriented development
  • Programming and scripting experience using Perl and Java is a plus
  • Knowledge/experience with FreeBSD is a plus
