Position           : Sr. Cognos Developer

Location           : Cary, NC

Job Description:

·         MUST be a US CITIZEN OR GREEN CARD

·         5 + years Development experience in Cognos Report Studio, Query Studio, Event Studio, Scheduling reports, creating drill through reports, bursting, etc.

·         3-5 years of experience with Cognos 8.4/10 Framework Manager Modeling

·         3 -5 Experience working with Transformer model to work with multidimensional power play cubes

·         Functional Testing of Cognos Reports and Cubes

·         Good knowledge in trouble shooting and problem solving skills

·         Experience with dimensional modeling including facts and dimensions, star and snowflake schemas, and OLAP tools and techniques

·         Experience in designing scorecards and dashboards

·         Nice to have - Cognos 8.4/10 Administration experience such as Package migration, Routing rules, security, installation and configuration of Cognos services

·         Experience with Oracle 10/11g or SQL server

·         Experience with Teradata

·         Mentor junior members in the team

·         Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle

·         Experience in conducting requirements gathering sessions and brainstorming workshops

·         Enthusiastic, motivated, and curious about learning the business

·         Ability to work in a fast paced dynamic environment

·         Ability to collaborate with diverse set of business users depending on how strong the candidate turns out

·         Senior developer and Modeler skillsets / profiles (Each SR is each track is very specific to either a Tool or a Technology as described in JD. So, fortunately, there is no ambiguity in what skillset we need and their strengths)

·         Very good hands on technical experience in the tool or technology in question for the resource is a must
