Position: Java Technical Lead

Location: Stamford, CT

Duration: 6-12 Months

 

Technical Skills:

 

-          Java, J2EE, Unix, Oracle, PL/SQL, Knowledge  of  ETL  (Informatica)  tools an added advantage

-          Methodologies: Agile (will be a plus), Scrum, Waterfall

-          Framework: ITIL (Awareness of ITIL process will add value to this role)

-          Domain: Knowledge of Equities Business or prior experience in Investment Banking

 

 

Responsibilities for  Technical Lead should :  

 

-          possess excellent communication

-          understand the stakeholder expectations/needs 

-          be thorough in implementing and executing the project management practices like Time, Resources, Requirements and Escalation mgmt 

-          be hands-on with majority of the technologies involved

-          be flexible with working hours to reasonably accomodate various timezones (Singapore, India, UK)

-          The candidate should have proven years of experience in leading a team with an onsite/offshore combination. Has to be a team player and should work very closely with the counterparts spread across regions.

-          The  job required a high degree of commuincation with the Senior members of the Client IT organization and hence excellent communication is the key. 

-          Once in the role for about 3 months, the Technical Lead must be in a position to offer advise on change plans, future architectural roadmaps etc.
