Title: WebSphere Portal administrator

Location: San Jose,CA

Duration:6+months

Rate: DOE

 

Description:

·         7 to 8 years of  WebSphere Portal administration experience

·         Perform WebSphere 7.x configuration changes, version upgrades and patches as per SDLC processes across all environments including Production.

·         Work closely with development teams to Deploy code, Troubleshoot and Build new environments if required.

·         Proactively identify and resolve production application stability or availability issues by leveraging in-house analysis and monitoring tools.

·         Ensure high availability through capacity planning and performance management processes.

·         Coordinate with Operations teams and business users for builds, issue, problem, and change management processes.

 

Experience working with:

·         Installation, configuration and support of Websphere Portal Server 7.x.

·         Portal support tools such as XMLaccess, Jython scripting, and ReleaseBuilder

·         Portal application deployment strategies. Moving from staging to production.

·         Managing portal security. Configuring access control and attribute based administration on portal resources

·         Portal customization and personalization features

·         Portal caching strategies

·         Page and portlet administration

·         Portal navigation options

·         Troubleshooting and problem determination skills. Portal logging analysis.

·         Setup and management of virtual portals

·         Portal resource policy management

·         Portal Tuning methods is a must.

·         Rational Automation Framework for WebSphere (RAFW) and Tivoli Access manager administration is a huge plus.
