Job Title: VERITAS Netback up Admin with DPS Backup
Location: Orlando, FL (2positions)
Duration:  6 months

 

Skill set and Responsibilities:
•Experience Hands on with Enterprise level SAN tape libraries/IBM Tape Library and Good exposure on advanced backup functions like Synthetic Backups, NDMP backups, Disk Staging.
•Data protection and backup recovery solutions familiarity such as using virtual tape, disk to disk to tape, data replication
•Unix and/or Windows systems administration experience
•File System and Database Familiarity
•Experience with Configuration of Media and Master Servers, Hardware and Software troubleshooting and new device configuration.
•Proficient in Netbackup tuning to increase performance and catalog backup using Vault on a daily basis and send media offsite for disaster discovery.
•Intensive experience in vault configuration and management and administration
•Strong experience on Netbackup command line usage.
•Proficient Configuration of Data Domain on Solaris, Unix Servers
•Expertise with upgrade and configuration of Netbackup.
•Well experienced in configuring the Robots, Tape drives and Volume pools
•Very good Knowledge with SAN, NAS Technologies, Especially EMC and NetApp in relation to a data protection environment.
•Well Experienced with upgrading Netbackup from version 6.5 to 7.5.x.
•Experience working with different vendor tape libraries and tape media.
•Experience with configuring Oracle and SQL Server backups.
•Proficient in shell & Perl scripting and Netbackup scripts.
•Experience working with Netbackup using SAN media servers and Shared Storage Option (SSO).
•Experience working on Data Domain  DD880
•Maintenance of more 100 data domain units
•Performance tuning of Data Domain
•Replication of Data with Data Domain native replication.
•Performance tuning and troubleshooting and system related log analysis from OS, Software (VERITAS Netbackup) and Hardware perspective.
•Create and maintain necessary documentation and procedures in support of the backup infrastructure.
•Expertise in Managing Backup policies, volume pools for daily, weekly and monthly backups.
•Proficient in Netbackup installation, configuration, creation and maintenance of Databases.
•Good understanding of impact and importance of storage services to customers.
•Communication skills and ability to support 24x7 critical operations
