Position           : Sr .Net Developer

Location          : Irvine / Fountain Valley California

Duration           : 12 Months Contract.

 

Job Description

Responsible for web application development and maintenance, and systems integration; keep the team, management and clients advised of changes and issues and how they might apply or impact to the business.  Work with the business on technical feasibility; consulting, advising and implementing key business initiatives.

 

Responsibilities

·         Analyzing, designing, and developing new web applications

·         Enhancing existing applications

·         Write technical documentation: system architecture document, data flow diagrams, internal and external interface document

·         Participate in peer code reviews

·         Create and define web development standards and best practices

·         Perform thorough testing including integration and performance QA

·         Oversight of vendor personnel for governance and compliance to development standards

·         Configuring hardware and software

·         Quickly resolve root production problems; on-call duties

·         Monitor and track help desk tickets; meeting the SLA requirements

·         Continuously improve problem resolution to either prevent them in the future or to resolve them in the most cost-effective manner when they occur

·         Inspire client confidence in the technical abilities, service attitude, and business aptitude

·         Ensure achievement of the highest level of client satisfaction with the delivered product.

·         Develop and maintain metrics to provide objective evaluation of team efforts

·         Establish and maintain positive business relationships with clients, managers and teams throughout the business and HISNA organization

·         Ability to work independently as well as a team member; be able to manage multiple assignments concurrently.

·         Self-motivated and be able to work with minimal supervision in a dynamic environment.      

·         Other duties as assigned.

 

Skills and Specifications

·         At least 7 years experience in application system development, consumer-oriented web sites and services

·         Advanced experience in C# and ASP.NET MVC

·         Strong experience in service oriented frameworks, especially WCF

·         Front end development experience especially in JavaScript, CSS, HTML, XML, JQuery.

·         Strong experience in agile development and unit testing method.

·         Strong relational database experience including proficiency in T-SQL, stored procedures and database architecture using MS SQL 2008 and Reporting Services.

·         Must be analytical, adept to problem solving, and have strong attention to detail.

·         Understanding of software development process, including object oriented analysis, design, and implementation.

·         Experience with content management systems; Interwoven a plus

·         Experience with web analytics tools

·         Experience with MS Team Foundation Server and Visual Studio Development Environment

·         Strong written and oral communications skills

·         Exhibits project and team leadership skills

·         Self-starter, willing to get involved and do whatever is needed to get the job done.

·         Experience with developing Marketing, Financial, and Corporate web sites highly desired

·         Automotive industry experience is highly desirable

 

Education and Qualifications

An undergraduate degree (BA/BS) from an accredited university in Computer Science, Information Technology or a computer related field, or equivalent work experience.
Technical certifications and/or completion of technical courses - a plus.
