Position: z/OS System programmer –Level 3
Location: Greenbay, WI
Duration: 6 Months

Description:

Candidate should have minimum 10+ years of experience in Mainframe z/OS and performed some administrative tasks such as patch and ISV products up gradation. He must also have expertise knowledge on DB2, Storage.

Maintenance and Administration of z/OS and USS.
Up-gradation of ISV products and OS.
Definition and installation of logical configuration of the hardware to host system (IOCP / IOCDS)
Perform audits on system
Experience in SMP/E and other vendor specific install/maintenance methods
Experience diagnosing/correcting system issues/problems. Ability to collect diagnostics data. Ability to work with ISVs and OEMs for bug/error fixes.
Knowledge on languages such as Assembler, REXX to fix/resolve issues
VTAM, SNA network operations and maintenance
Planning and Performing DR activities
Performed installation and up gradation of ISV products such as CA View,
CA-Endevor, FILE-AID, FOCUS, CA-1, CA-11, VPS/VMCF, Net View
Maintain DASD and Tape storage
Performed tasks such as Volume addition, initialization etc.
Capable of Performing DFSMS activities; Defining/modifying SMS constructs
Maintaining ACS routines and Monitoring storage utilization.
Monitor and Maintain data migration environment (HSM).
Perform data backup and recovery tasks.
Provide reports on DASD and tape utilization.
Installation and up gradation of CICS TS.
Performing CICS resource definitions.
Installation and up gradation of DB2 for z/OS.
Administration and Maintaining DB2 and Distributed Data Facility.
Performing DB2 Performance tuning and Capacity planning.
Performing WLM tasks for stored procedures such as APPLENV creation.
Supporting Application DBA and Developers.
Knowledge on DB2 Online utilities such as LOAD,REORG,RECOVER,UNLOAD,
CHECK DATA, CHECK INDEX, REPAIR, RUNSTATS etc.
Performing DB2 DBA activities such as Bind and providing access using Grant/Revoke SQL statements.
SMF, RMF reporting and capable of taking dump and analyze it.
