Role: ATG Portal Lead Developer

Position: Contract or Full time

Location: Dallas - TX, Bay Area - CA, Middletown - NJ.

 

Experience: Minimum 8 – 10 Years of Experience

 

Roles & Responsibility:

       Analyze customer requirements and functional requirements in order to write technical specifications; ensures quality of  technical specifications written by team.

       Collaborate with project manager to create the development schedule, including work effort estimates, work breakdown  structure, project dependencies, resource allocation, etc.

       Collaborate with the architect to ensure that the architectural vision is realized in the technical specifications and code created.

       Provide technical leadership to developers throughout entire project life cycle.

       Manage source control process as well as build process.

       Act as primary point of resolution for technical issues, collaborating with the architect and project manager whenever necessary.

       Conduct code reviews throughout the development phase, ensuring that best practices are followed and lessons learned  are promulgated to entire team.

 

Technical Skills: (MUST possess these required skills to be considered)

       Experience leading software development teams

       Extensive experience customizing one or more of the ATG products : ATG Commerce, ATG Knowledge, ATG CSC, and ATG Search.

       Extensive experience working with ATG repositories

       Extensive experience building enterprise software, particularly web-based and customer-facing applications using J2EE frameworks; experience developing in Java.

       Experience using XML, HTML/JHTML,JSP, and tag libraries.

       Experience using Javadoc and documenting code

       Experience using JUnit and unit testing in general

       Experience in building rich internet applications (e.g., Ajax, Flex/Flash) is desired.

       Deep knowledge of databases and JDBC connections, and LDAP.

       Knowledge of web services, including SOAP and WSDL.

       Experience developing on multiple OSes (Linux, Unix, Windows).
