Location: Los Angeles, CA

Duration: 6-12 Months

 

Required Skills:

 

- Storage Administration of NetApp

- EMC VNX 5700/7500

- Clariion CX3/CX4

- EMC Brocade SAN Switches DCX/ 24k/48k

 

Experience: 7-10 years

 

Job Description: Tasks list contains but not limited to:

 

NetApp:

 

•    Configurations and Installations of Netapp Fillers

•    User Management & License Management

•    Raid Management (Adding Disks / Detecting and Replacing failed Disks)

•    Volume / Qtree Management (Grow / Shrink Volumes)

•    NFS / CIFS / ISCSI Share Setup and Management

•    Quota Management (Hard / Soft Limits)

•    Data Fabric Manager (DFM)

•    Data Ontap, Disk and shelf firmware upgrades

•    Backups (Snapshot  /NDMP)

•    OSSV Snap Vault

•    LUN setup (Netapp as FC SAN)

•    SNAP Mirror

 

EMC:

 

•    Comfortable with VNX and Clarion administration using  Navisphere and UNISPEHRE

•    Host Integration with Storage along with the installation of SAN Switches.

•    Storage Provisioning   i.e. allocation and de-allocation of LUNs to hosts on Clarion & VNX.

•    Creating Meta luns.

•    Zoning and Masking of devices with hosts.

•    Recover point replication between VNX boxes.

•    Capacity mgmt and Incident report generation.

•    Using  emcgrab and power paths for storage configuration and management.

•    Storage Consolidation for capacity management & optimal use of infrastructure.

•    Monitoring and managing the Storage devices using Brocade GUI and CLI.

•    SAN Copy over Clarion & VNX arrays.

•    Lun migration in VNX / Clarion

•    Creating snapshot and snapshot luns.
