Position           : Software Developer (Scripting)

Location           : San Jose, CA

Duration           : 6 Months +

 

Looking for Software Engineer who will design, develop, integrate and test a component framework for client's IP Operating System.

 

Skills Required:

 

·         5+ years of embedded software development experience in a multi-threaded environment

·         GIT/CVS and Makefile experience is a MUST, experience with CMake is a plus

·         Bash/Perl/Python Scripting experience is a MUST

·         Knowledge of build and release best practice on Linux platform

·         Knowledge of Electric Cloud Build system is a plus

·         Experience with code refactoring and modularization required

·         Code analysis tools such as used for dependency graphs an asset

·         Excellent C programming skills and threading libraries is a plus

·         Static analysis tool experience an asset

·         Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills

·         Experience designing and implementing generic C libraries for multiple build targets

·         Networking and IP protocol experience, knowledge of system infrastructure beneficial

·         BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent is required.

 

Additional inputs:

 

o    Design and implement a simple and efficient build and release process for a complex software code-base.

o    Involvement in code modularization on a large scale code-base

o    Ability to work with global cross-functional teams

o    Identify infrastructure requirements, design and implement generic solutions.

o    Monitor and guide others on the usage of component framework to improve efficiency

o    Write technical specifications and design documents.

o    Work within an Agile work environment
