Position: Network Systems Engineer

Location: Rochester, NY

Duration: 6 Months +

 

Description:

 

§  B.S. Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent, with a minimum 5 years of related Network Engineering experience.

§  Cisco CCNA, CCNP OR CCIE certifications

§  Experience in core design or implementation activity of network, routing technologies etc

§  Experience designing, installing, and troubleshooting an Enterprise network, including data, voice, and video.

§  Experience with Routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, etc). TCP/IP addressing/subnetting knowledge.

§  Experience with LAN switching concepts (Spanning tree, 802.1q, ISL, VTP, bridging concepts, etc.).

§  Advanced TCP/IP addressing/subnetting knowledge.

§  Detailed knowledge of Cisco router and switch configurations.

§  Experience with carrier telecommunications technologies such as T1/E1, copper and fiber interfaces

§  Knowledge of radio systems, HF, VHF, and UHF would be an advantage.
