Position: Network Engineer – Level 3

Location: White Plains NY

Duration: 6 Months

 

This position is responsible for all aspects of network –security administration including all networks, security devices on a 24*7 environment.

Responsibilities:

 

• Network Administration (including backup of devices and security management).
• Should be responsible for Performance: Standard and custom threshold and trend reporting and analysis for network resources.
• Performs technology needs analysis.
• Responsible of handling a large Data Center Operations.
• Plans, implements, and supports the network and computing infrastructure plan.
• Assists with technology planning through ongoing improvements and value adds
• Ensure ITIL processes and agreed processes to be followed during ticket handling.
• Participates in and drives Major Incidents, Availability, Capacity, Release, Change and Service Request Fulfillment.
• Responsible for overall network technical issues, Escalations, provides technical solution/directions to the Teams in case of support required.
• Maintain Network Services as per SLAs defined and maintain proper documentation.
• Should drive Service Improvement Plans/Programs within the defined process incase require for process improvement.

 

Qualifications & Requirements:

 

• Bachelors in Computer Science or Electronics, or Masters of Computer Applications.

·         Preferably CCNP certification

• Good communication skills, positive & service attitude
• Global Customer handling experience
• Problem solving and analysis skills
• Strong technical understanding and an ability to translate technical requirements and specifications.

 

Technical Experience:

Relevant industry experience in which minimum 6+  years of experience should be in handling large projects in a Network Service Delivery environment.

 

Skills:

• Excellent Knowledge of Cisco IOS, CATOS.
• Understanding of architecture of Cisco 3750, 4500 and 6500 switching platforms.
• Understanding of architecture of Cisco 2811, 3640 routing platforms.
• Advance knowledge of EIGRP.
• Advance knowledge of GRE, VPN tunneling technology.
• Advance knowledge of Layer 2 protocols and features.
• Ability to negotiate hardware/software service and technical support contracts with vendors.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, activities and tasks simultaneously.
• Supervising, coaching, and mentoring of network services assistant position.
• Facilitation and change management skills.
• Good verbal and written communications.
