Position: EMC Storage Support Analyst

Location: Midland, MI

Duration: 12 Months

 

A Storage Analyst with 3+ years of proven expertise working with EMC technologies (VPLEX, VMAX, SDRF, etc.). This position will be responsible to provide support for projects, storage administration and 24X7 production support services.

 

Administration and Management

 

·         Storage provisioning on high end storage EMC systems

·         Installation and Configuration of PowerPath, RAID Manager Software and HORCM Configuration

·         Implementation and setting of BCV and redundancy

·         Troubleshooting and maintenance

·         Managing storage allocations for UNIX platforms, Linux and Windows servers

·         Masking of LUNs and Implementing host groups and security policies

·         Documenting storage support process and procedures

·         Defining backup devices for backup operation

Skills:

 

·         Knowledge in Operating systems Linux, Windows

·         Expert skills in EMC VPLEX, VMAX, SDRF technologies

·         Strong experience with HA concepts, clustering technologies, failover architectures

·         Strong distributed systems background with knowledge of load balanced architectures and fault tolerant systems

·         Working knowledge of storage allocation, tuning, and replication on the EMC Symmetrix platforms

·         Working knowledge of Cisco Fabric OS environments 

·         Understanding of Windows, Linux and VMware ESX server platforms and how they interact with storage

·         Solid understanding of fiber channel zoning and cabling concepts and practices

·         Quickly and effectively troubleshoot SAN systems, to include servers, switches and arrays

·         Working knowledge of EMC Control Center and EMC Workload Analyzer to diagnose performance issues in a SAN environment.
