Duration           : 6+ months Contract

Position Summary

Create and maintain computer programs, databases, and automated scripts to assist the QA department in efficiently testing company products and tools. Create programs and web pages to assist the department to more effectively disseminate QA testing information to other parts of the company.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Designs, implements, and maintains programs written in C# ASP.NET and MS SQL

· Creates computer programs or automated scripts to automate functional tests so the department can execute more tests in less time with greater accuracy

· Performs other testing duties as assigned

 

Knowledge/Skills Required

• Familiar with Software Quality Assurance concepts, practices, and procedures in an Agile/Scrum-based product development environment
• Attention to detail
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• High degree of personal integrity
• Professional experience with C# Automation, Visual Basic, or C++ in an Object Oriented Programming context in a Windows operating system
• Prefer experience with TestTrack Pro, including installing, administration, workflow design, and daily usage
• Prefer experience with QuickTest Pro, including installing, administration, and scripting in Visual Basic
• Prefer experience with SQL database design, implementation, and programming access to databases
• Familiar with Microsoft Visual Studio, Visio, and Project
• Understands Object Oriented Programming concepts
• Prefer familiarity with Perforce, Python, XML
• Familiarity with Ethernet network packet capturing tools and RS-232 serial line packet capturing tools is a plus

 

Education, Training and Experience

• Requires BS/BA degree in computer-related field (e.g., Comp Sci, EE, MIS, QA) with 2 - 5 years relevant experience
• At least one year experience on a software quality assurance team
