Position: IT Architect - AIX
Location: Charlotte, NC
Duration: 3 Months +
Description:
The AIX Architect works under minimal supervision, and collaborates with the business and IT stakeholders to develop a detailed understanding of Environment .
The architect evaluates targeted solutions to be consistent with architectural standards and best practices; provides technical leadership in tactical planning and participates in the strategic planning .
This individual identifies opportunities and is responsible for documenting the current AIX environment and come up with detailed road map on AIX.
Familiarty on AIX virtualization, Installation, NIM is needed.
Candidate should be strong in AIX, system management and troubleshooting methodologies.
Familiarity with the new POWER 7 concepts.
Knowledge of RISC hardware. (Power5,6,7), HMCs and LPARS in a SAN environment.
The architect will set direction for the usage of enterprise software components and frameworks; and effectively articulate multiple views of client's application architecture within client.
The architect will provide oversight to project-level solution development efforts of strategic impact to client's, perform quality reviews and measure adherence to enterprise architecture guidelines and procedures, to ensure consistent and coherent implementations.
