Position: Project Manager with Capacity Planning Exp

Location: West Norristown, PA

Duration: 6 Months +

 

Description:

 

It is desired that the capacity candidate know how to construct capacity models that reflect trend growth of current resources and project long term KPIs. The candidate must also know how to construct consolidation models taking many servers and consolidating them on to a fewer number of resources. These models will be constructed using BMC Best1 and Hyperformix.

 

• System administration background
• SQL server knowledge desired
• Oracle understanding (Enterprise as well as RAC)
• Business Objects user knowledge desired
• Experience with BMC / patrol and Best1 (perform / Predict)
• Knowledge of Hyperformix
• Experience in large scale server consolidation projects
• Able to utilize capacity planning tools to model changes in workloads, system configurations and model server consolidations.
• Understanding of EMC SAN environments.
• Understanding of Virtual environments VMWARE as well as Power VM
• Understanding of SAN and high performance EMC Arrays
• Good oral and written communication skills.
