Position            : Windows Embedded Engineer ( C++, .NET)

Location           : Nashville, TN

Duration           : 1 year

 

Position Summary

The Software Engineer III (Windows Embedded) works in an Agile/Scrum-based software development environment in creating robust platforms and innovative gaming products for current and emerging markets. S/he is responsible for assistance with design, specification, and assembling COTS components to optimize software for gaming platforms. This engineer has strong experience in building Windows Standard and Embedded OS images specific to the utilized hardware and software, mentors junior developers and is expected to work under minimal supervision from a senior developer.

Knowledge/Skills Required

• Strong knowledge of Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD), Knowledge of Design Patterns and UML modeling
• Solid experience in programming on Windows Operating Systems; solid experience with Windows Embedded OS family a plus
• Strong working knowledge of Object-oriented programming, C++, C#, .NET framework and Microsoft Visual Studio IDE
• Hands-on experience with Windows Operating Systems - XP, Vista, and Windows 7
• Experience with building and deploying Windows Embedded images required
• Strong familiarity with Microsoft Windows Embedded tools and technologies
• Experience with driver installation under embedded platforms
• Experience with Web Services, SOAP/ XML and WCF is a plus
• Proven analytical abilities applied to system design and software implementation
• Attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, strong planning and organizational skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment

 

Education, Training and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
• At least 5 years professional software engineering experience, with a minimum of 3 years related experience in PC/Server components and design, Windows Operating Systems, and applicable software and drivers
