Role: IT Projects Financial System Analyst

Duration: long term / 9 months +

Type: Contract

Location: Santa Clara; Bay Area

 

Skills & Description:

 

Experience

·          7 + years of experience in supporting and implementing Oracle Projects (Project Costing, Project Billing, Project Management, Project Manufacturing, Oracle Time and Labor)

·          Hands on experience with ability to perform hands on design and testing work

·          Deep Knowledge of Project Accounting(PA) Functionality and PA interfaces to other sub-ledger modules (GL, AP, AR, FA, INV, OM, PO, iexpense, iProcurement)

·          Superior organizational skills with estimation and project planning experience

·          Strong customer focused attitude with good communication skills

·          Experience in working with Oracle EBS Release 12 preferable

·          Should have experience in working with a multi vendor and multi location projects working as a consultant

·          Should have experience working with multi cultural extended team, with ability to influence team members to cross the finish line on time

8- 10 years of Functional experience

Ability to interact with business users, understand business requirements, translate to functional requirement

Work with development team to deliver project

Experience in Implementations, rollouts

Primary skill – Project Accounting along with GL, any additional modules will be of advantage.

 

Key Responsibilities

·          Be the liaison between business managers, business users and IT team

·          Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions or mapping, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.

·          Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.

·          Drive and challenge business requirements on their assumptions of how they will successfully support the business process

·          Collaborate with Oracle application developers and business users to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.

·          Provide detailed application and process solution to address business problems

·          Develop requirements specifications, functional and technical specifications according to standard templates, using natural language.

·          Provide support for project accounting financial close working closely with finance and production support team members
