Position           : WebSphere Portal Developer

Location          : Jersey City, NJ

Duration           : Long Term

 

Skills and Qualifications Required:

·         Must have held the role of a WebSphere Portal Developer or Architect for multiple Portal-based solutions, and enterprise-scale, J2EE-based solutions for large organizations

·         Must have experience in Java-standard, Portlet-based Application Development on IBM Platform

·         5+ years IBM WebSphere Portal v6.x design and development including developing JSR 168/286 Portlets, Themes, JSPs and Servlets, SOAP-based Web Services, RAD, or Eclipse IDE

·         Strong knowledge of WebSphere Portal components, services and frameworks, WebSphere Portal configuration, WebSphere JNDI, Spring configuration

·         Experience in J2EE framework development experience (Spring/Spring MVC, etc.), object-oriented design and related tools (UML, Rational)

·         Experience with most of the following: Spring Core, DAO Layer, SQL Server, and SVN

·         Familiar with the core design patterns and best practices (OO/Gang-of-Four, J2EE, Architecture)

·         Familiar with Agile methodologies

·         Must have a proven track record with integrating solutions in disparate platforms and technologies

·         6+ years of over-all information technology and software development experience

·         Proven mentoring/leadership experience, excellent communication skills (effective oral and written skills)
